Polyingo: Learn Languages is developed and published by Mahmut Taşkıran. This page explains how to delete your Polyingo account and the data associated with it, including how to request deletion if you no longer have the app installed.
You can delete your account at any time, for any reason, at no cost.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app:
- Open Polyingo and tap the Profile tab.
- Tap the settings (gear) icon.
- Tap Delete my account permanently.
- Type your username and tap Delete to confirm.
Your account and its data are deleted as soon as you confirm. You do not need to contact us, and there is no waiting period.
Request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled Polyingo or cannot sign in, email us from the address associated with your account:
Use the subject line “Account deletion request” and include your Polyingo username if you know it. We will verify that you own the account and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your Polyingo account and profile (username, email address, and profile details).
- The content you created in the app, including your posts and your saved and learned word history.
- Your social connections in the app, including your followers and the accounts you followed.
- Your sign-in credentials. Accounts created with Apple, Google, or Facebook are unlinked, and Apple sign-in tokens are revoked.
What we keep
We keep a limited set of records after your account is deleted:
- A record that an account existed and was deleted. We keep this to prevent fraud, to honour our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. It does not contain your posts or word history.
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as payment and tax records held by Google Play, the App Store, or our payment processors. These are governed by their own retention policies, not ours.
We do not sell your data, and we do not keep it for any purpose other than those described above. For full details of what we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store and must be cancelled separately:
- Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- App Store: open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Cancel your subscription before deleting your account if you do not want to be charged again. Deleting the app from your device does not cancel a subscription either.
